1963 Chevrolet Corvette
In late 1962, Chevrolet chief engineer Zora Arkus Duntov decided to build a production run of 125 "purpose-built" Corvette racecars with the ultimate goal of winning the GT class at Le Mans. Duntov dubbed the project the Lightweight; Chevrolet marketing later christened the cars "Grand Sports." Only 5 Cars were ever produced relegating the cars to run as prototypes.
CGS0041 is an aesthetic tribute to one of the 5 original cars painted in period correct Pelham Blue and wearing the #3 livery. Dressed in 15" Aluminum FIA Style Wheels with AVON CR6ZZ tires, this car screams its heritage and boasts in it's attention to detail. Clearly deserving of it's GM License.
CGS0041 is Powered by V's Performance 408 LS2 based V8 topped with Borla 8 Stack EFI, it makes 580HP and is mated to a Tremec T-56 6 Speed Manual. This car features period blue leather interior with air conditioning and power windows. Exhaust is carried out by Stainless Steel headers with Polished Stainless Steel Side Pipes.
