GT40 P2441 MKI Extra Wide Body

The GT40 set the racing world on fire in the 1960s as Ford threw down the gauntlet to challenge Ferrari at Le Mans and other top endurance races. The GT40's impact has not lessened over the years, with each sighting just as head-turning as it was when the cars first roared down the Mulsanne straight.

This Superformance GT40 MKI is ready to carry that excitement to your next driving adventure. The car features the 1969 Extra Wide Body configuration along with the widened 15-inch BRM style wheels with polished aluminum spinners and historic tread AVON tires to match. Taller drivers will appreciate the Gurney Bubble on the driver's side, so named so the lanky Dan Gurney could fit inside the cockpit of the 40-inch tall race car. The MKI is finished in Indigo Blue with twin grey stripes and painted sill stripes with GT40 lettering.

The car is powered by a V's Performance custom crate engine. The 351W V8 with World Products block has been stroked to 454 cubic inches and puts out 545 horsepower at the rear wheels. It is as visually impressive as it is powerful, with black ceramic coated “bundle of snakes” headers and an Edelbrock intake manifold. The engine is paired with a Quaife Ford GT40 5-speed transaxle gearbox.

Every drive will be memorable from within the full leather interior with original style seats with silver rivets. Dynamat sound deadening and heat dissipation tame the rough edges of the original race car for a more comfortable drive.

Authenticity was the Superformance engineers' goal when re-creating the GT40. It carries the GT40/P chassis number and is built to the exact standards of the car back in the 1960s. It is so authentic that over two thirds of the rolling chassis parts are interchangeable with the original GT40s.

GT40 P2441 is sold on MSO, and has only 86 miles. It is currently available for $289,950.
