Hillbank at The Grand National Roadster Show.

The 61st Grand National Roadster Show took place at the Fairplex in Pomona, California under mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures. The theme this year was “Mardi Gras” and beads were handed to show goers in exchange for small donations to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund. This premier event featured hundreds of the best hot rods, customs, muscle cars, motorcycles, street machines and classic trucks found anywhere in the world. A number of Actors and some of our favorite stars were seen admiring the cars that were on display.

This year Hall 9 featured a special exhibit on the History of the Race Car. There was a good collection of Bonneville cars, midgets and historical circle-track racers. Over 500 vehicles were displayed in the numerous halls competing for awards. The most prestigious award being the 9 foot tall America's Most Beautiful Roadster award (AMBR) which is awarded to the most beautiful roadster. The Suede Palace hall featured a new generation of hot rodder’s while some other halls featured cars from various magazine covers. There were also a number of vehicles owned by Stars such as James Hetfield of Metallica, Tim Allen and Chip Foose. Hall 10 was the place to be with live music playing and people dancing and having fun. On the weekend they erected a courtyard stage and the party continued.

Flanked by a couple of hundred rod and custom vehicles that were displayed outside the halls was the vendor area. Superformance and Shelby Distribution had a booth were Hillbank cars were on display. Ashton, Justin and Lance Stander were at the booth to hand out literature and talk about the cars.
